Important Elevations

Karstic regions are composed entirely of saltpeter rocks and feature low elevations that vary between 200 and 300 m. Their primary wealth comes from their subterranean reservoirs and archeological-historical and cultural value in the numerous caverns and national parks that they provide (Los Haitises, Promontorio de Cabrera and Procurrente de Barahona).
