Economy Secretary Announces Survey of Development and Assistance Efficiency is Underway Secretary of State for Economy, Planning and Development launched the “Second Survey on the Effectiveness of Assistance and Development,” fulfilling its commitment to the country as a signatory of the Paris Declaration. Temístocles Montás, titular of the survey, said the main goal of the survey is to provide follow-up and to promote the progress of the Paris Declaration on a national level, in keeping with an initiative led by the Organization for Cooperation and Economic Development, according to Executive Power sources. During the act held in the Green Hall of the National Palace, the government official stated that the 2008 Survey will focus on the principles of alignment and agreement, areas that stress the flow of assistance with national priorities. Temistocles Montás added that the survey is the second of three rounds of information gathering, 2006, 2008 and 2010 and follows the same standards and practices as the first survey done in 2006. | ||
