FUNGLODE and GFDD Will Publish Winners of 2007 Book Fair

The Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development will publish the 2007 winners of the FUNGLODE/GFDD Literary Awards. They will be grouped according to genre: Poetry, Short Story and Journalism

The works to be put into circulation on Tuesday April 22 will include the first-to-third place prizes as well as honorable mention in the following categories: the Rafael Herrera Prize for Journalism; the Juan Bosch Short Story Award and the Pedro Mir Poetry Prize. The Pedro Francisco Bonó Prize for Essays went unclaimed in the last year’s awards.

With the presentation of these literary works in the FUNGLODE pavilion of the International Book Fair, the directors of the Foundation will release the convocation date for the second edition of the FUNGLODE/GFDD 2008 Literary Awards ceremony.

The activity is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Pavilion 3 of the Book Fair. The entrance to the Culture Plaza is on Pedro Henríquez Ureña Street.
