President Fernández Convokes a Special Legislative Session

The Executive Power called for a special session of the legislation chambers through Decree 24-09 for the purpose of clarifying the draft bill for the Law for the Declaration of Constitutional Reform.

In keeping with the presidential decree, the National Congress, in its extraordinary meeting will also make public any of the other outstanding issues to be dealt with by the legislative body.

The extraordinary session of the National Congress, called by President Leonel Fernández, will begin this Wednesday, January 14th and will be in session until Wednesday, February 25, 2009
