“Our goal is that the tourism agents know and love the DR as a destination. That way they can sell it with a passion and with all the necessary information…”

Brazil’s Nastur Tourism Fair, with the theme “Evolution,” is one of the main trade fairs in Brazil. The Dominican Republic participated in the fair, held on March 20-23 in the Brazilian city of Campinas, where one large hall was dedicated exclusively to the training of 250 travel agents who attended the event.

For the third year in a row, the Dominican Republic participated in this fair which brought together the country’s main tourist agencies. They concentrated on selling their products from the Nascimento Tourism operator, one of the largest involved in selling Caribbean tourism packages.

Nodalia Arias, from the Dominican Tourism Promotion Office in Brazil, introduced Brazilian tourism professionals to the attractions and novelties of the DR with suggestion on the ideal places for each type of traveler.

“Our goal is that the tourism agents know and love the DR as a destination. That way they can sell it with a passion and with all the necessary information. For that reason the Dominican Republic is investing more and more in training and in tourism events in Brazil,” said Ms. Arias.
