Exhibition “A Nest of Colors” in APEC The APEC Cultural Program and the Dominican Association of Art Critics presented the exhibition “A Nest of Colors,” which is made up of 25 works of art of various formats and techniques, predominantly oil and acrylic. The show will be opened to the public until May 7… The painting were done by Evelyn Lima Rivas, Nancy Lluberes, Fernelis Ferreras, José Pelletier, Lucas Peña, Dustin Muñoz and Manuel Toribio. Evelyn Lima Rivas holds a degree in theory and art criticism from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. She did her postgraduate studies at the National School of Fine Arts in painting. Nancy Lluberes was bron in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic. She studied at the National School of Fine Arts (today the National School of Visual Arts, ENAV) from 1988 to 1994 and the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. Fernelis Ferreras was born in Las Matas de Farfán, Dominican Republic. In 1985 he enrolled in the National School of Fine Arts where he studied visual arts with a specialty in painting. José Pelletier studied at the School of Fine Arts in of San Cristobal and the National School of Fine Arts of Santo Domingo where he specialized in drawing. He is a professor of Art at the Teachers College of the Loyola Polytechnic Institute of San Cristobal and the ENAV. Lucas Peña was born in Puerto Plata on October 18, 1959. In 1985 he began his studies at the National School of Fine Arts where he won various awards among which was first prize for sculpture and carving and third prize for painting. Dustin Muñoz, born in Loma de Cabrera, enrolled in the National School of Fine Arts with a focus on drawing. He graduated Magna cum Laude from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. He is currently seeking a PhD in the Basque Country. Manuel Toribio was born in August 1966 in Villa Bisonó (Navarrete). He studied graphic design and sign-making at the Jaime Colson Art School Workshop. Later he studied visual arts at the National School of Visual Arts with a minor in drawing.
