Intuitive Connection Exhibition The Mesa Fine Art Gallery presents the Intuitive Connection exhibition by Omar Molina. What characterizes the compositions of this young painter in a more personal manner is the evolution of his thematic, sensitive and intuitive relationship with a work of art that he carries in his heart since he was a child… Omar Molina was born in Santo Domingo on August 12, 1977. He is an artist who continues to strengthen his language and identifying private themes. At an early age, he received his first drawing lessons from his grandfather the maestro Ramon Oviedo which had a powerful influence over his work in the years to come. Gallery director, Juan José Mesa, said: “if the lessons he learned from his maestro marked the beginning of the relationship which interconnects his work – not in any total connection between pieces – it makes no sense to try and find the factors that this young painter has taken from anyone other than his grandfather, his maestro, but rather the passion they both share for composition, an obsession for the abstract figure.” What characterizes the compositions of this young painter in a more personal manner is the evolution of his thematic, sensitive and intuitive relationship with a work of art that he carries in his heart since he was a child, in the incessant search for the ecstasy of the spirit. Omar Molina is not an artist who repeats himself. The Intuitive Connectionis comprised of 20 works of art in different formats and will be inaugurated as part of the parallel activities going on at the First International Art Fair, FIART 2009. It will be open to the public in the MESA FINE ART Gallery on Roberto Pastoriza Ave. No.356 in the Piantini sector until June 2, 2009.
