President Visits Injured Earthquake Victims at Health Plaza and CEDIMAT EDominican President Leonel Fernández spent three hours on Saturday night visiting some 20 people hospitalized in Santo Domingo with injuries caused by Haiti’s devastating earthquake of last Tuesday. He visited the Health Plaza and the Center for Diagnosis, Advanced Medicine and Telemedicine (CEDIMAT). President Fernández visited, among others, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Haiti, Hsu Mien-Sheng and another Taiwanese embassy official Chi Wahg-Der. The President arrived at CEDIMAT at las 9:00 pm to check up on the condition of the injured earthquake victims who were brought to the capital from Haiti after last Tuesday’s 7.3 quake, according to the President’s Office of Information, Press and Publicity. President Fernández visited, among others, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Haiti, Hsu Mien-Sheng and another Taiwanese embassy official Chi Wahg-Der. He also stopped and saw various members of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). Later, Fernández went to the Health Plaza to and visited, as well as others, Haitian Senator Jean Jose Pier, Italian priest Estrai Atiglio and Haitian citizen Josephine Evelin Malgro and a little Haitian girl known as Alyattna Ryohis. | ||
