Dominican President to Welcome Six New Ambassadors On Tuesday, Dominican President, Leonel Fernández, will receive the credentials of six new ambassadors recently assigned to the Dominican Republic. The new diplomats are from Ecuador, Argentina, Malta, El Salvador, Liberia and Equatorial Guinea. They will be presented to the President by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Morales Troncoso. At the function, which will take place in the Ambassadors’ Room in the National Palace, the President will receive the following extraordinary and plenipotentiary representatives: Carlos López Damm, from Ecuador; Noemí María Gómez, from Argentina; José Vitienes Colubi, from Malta; Américo Mauro Araujo, from El Salvador; Milton Nathaniel Barnes, from Liberia and Teresa Efua Asangono, from Equatorial Guinea. The incoming Ecuadorian ambassador, Carlos López Damm, has extensive professional experience which has allowed him to serve in important positions in his country in addition to having a diplomatic career. Argentine Ambassador Noemí Gómez, a law school graduate, held the title of General Director of Multilateral Latin American Policy and Director of Regional Affairs in her country. José Vitienes Colubi, the new ambassador from the Order of Malta, has held important positions in the private sector of his country and is studying a Masters in Business Administration at Columbia University. Américo Mauro Araujo, a physician from El Salvador, has done research on situational and jurisdictional analysis and policy. | ||
