The Dominican Postal Institute (INPOSDOM in Spanish) was created on November 15, 1985 through the enactment of Law No. 307 with the view of developing a public company under independent management, capable of generating high quality services for the country’s most profitable companies. It also sought to position itself as an indisputable leader in the postal sector.
The mission of the Dominican postal service is to establish the character and organization of the postal services of the Dominican Republic, fulfilling an important economic and cultural role by providing optimal and high quality delivery of postal communications and related articles to the complete satisfaction of the client.
Currently, INPOSDOM moves tens of thousands of letters, packages, courier items and other correspondences including money transfers in the world’s major currencies.
