This golf course was also designed by Robert Trent Jones. Playa Grande is the name of the beach which never actually comes into play on the course, however on hole 13 – a 400-yard, par 4 with 30 mile winds – the view of the beach tends to leave any normal human being speechless. This is a perfect place for locals and visitors who love surfing and boogy-boarding.
Playa Grande has the three most dramatic and menacing pars on the island; two in the first round and the third in the second round of nine holes. With the exception of the 11th hole, every hole is played along the Atlanta Ocean, passing number 17 with more than 200 yards of longitude with the sea on the right side, behind and to the left of the green.
