Successful Conclusion to National ¨Sowing Theater Program” The Ministry of Culture (MINC) concluded the National “Sowing Theater Program” on Sunday, April 17 with the performance of two plays: “Mambrú de Manabao” and “Paciencia que Impacienta” both put on at the Monina Sola Theater of the Narciso González Cultural Center. “Mambrú de Manabao,” written by Haffe Serrulle was put on by actors of the Sowing Theater in La Vega group at 11 am. “Mambrú de Manabao,” written by Haffe Serrulle was put on by actors of the Sowing Theater in La Vega group at 11 am. “Paciencia que Impacienta” was put on by the La Rueca theater group from the city of de Moca and directed by Husmell Díaz Sánchez. The play looks at the poetic vision of the eternal struggle between man and power. Sowing Theater, or Sembrando Teatro in Spanish, brings together theater pieces from 15 provinces around the country including such groups as Najayo Women of San Cristóbal, groups from Monte Plata, Dajabón, Salcedo, Samaná, Barahona, Higüey, El Seibo and Baní. As part of the programming of the National “Sowing Theater Program”, the play “Teatro Breve de la Muerte/ Toro Bravo” from Hato Mayor was performed as well as “Violines para Idrísia Matuba”put on by the La Romana theater group. Hundreds of young people who attended the event enjoyed such theater presentations as Throughout the seven days, the various groups staged fifteen productions from Dominican playwrights and authors, including: Haffe Serulle, Ramón Marrero Aristy, Dinorah Coronado and José Luis Sosa.
