Children´s Christmas Play, “The Birth of Jesus: A Christmas Gift” at the Children’s Library of the Dominican Republic for Third Year in a Row “The Birth of Baby Jesus,” a musical show, is being performed on three Saturdays in December, the 3rd, 10th and the 17th as well as on Wednesday the 21st in the esplanade in front of the Children’s Library. All shows begin at 5:30 pm. Starting on December 3rd, the Children’s Library of the Dominican Republic (BIJRD in Spanish) will be presenting the “The Birth of Jesus: A Christmas Gift.” All performances are free of charge, as a gift for the entire family. The play seeks to recreate the birth of Jesus Christ in a manger when Mary and Joseph found themselves in a shepherd’s field in Bethlehem, an event that left its mark on humanity from that moment on. Children and teenager readers of the BIJRD will be putting on the Nativity play. They will be accompanied by the Children’s Choir of the Office of the First Lady. The scenery, lighting colors, stage design and costumes will contribute to the beauty and magic of the event and guarantees the enjoyment of all those who attend the Christmas play.
