Idílicas… Photo Exhibit Looking at the pictures, they make us dream of those idyllic and different places, and live especial moments. Although these specific situations of our trips to different places should not be forgotten, we may always find our Paradise somewhere close, and not very far away, while enjoying the little things that transport us to our dreamed of Paradise, such as a simple caress, a sunset, the smell of the ocean. And thus, a plethora of situations that seen from a somewhat convoluted point of view can make our day become “idyllic”, without having to go to those distant places. All this is summarized in the well-known “Carpe Diem”. I hope that the reaction to the action of observing these photographs will be pleasant, as this has been the reason for it, although not all of us have to like the same paradises, for the same reason, as they sometimes are not real but only “idyllic”. But as the objective of this exhibition is to transport those who observe it to their lost paradise, I have selected a series of 14 snapshots of landscapes and “dreamed” situations, all of which are whispering in our ears messages of peace, tranquility and relaxation, and conveying activities that are uncommon in our day to day, but which at this moment that we live, are welcome, as we leave aside the burdens of the economy, our work, and a thousand other things that affect our lives. Every action has its reaction, and the reaction of travelling to paradise through the photographs, is usually pleasant to us, as we dream of going or returning to the places in the photographs, eager to find this “idyllic” picture within our reality. Who after seeing a picture of a place has not dreamed of visiting it? Surely we all have, as that is the normal reaction to the contemplation of the “idyllic” pictures. I hope that the reaction to the action of observing these photographs will be pleasant, as this has been the reason for it, although not all of us have to like the same paradises, for the same reason, as they sometimes are not real but only “idyllic”. The exhibition will be open at the Castillo Villaricos de Cuevas del Almanzora, Almería (Spain) between July 3 and 31st, 2012. The exhibit comprises 14 photographs, 10 50×70 and 4 40×60, 8 are in black and white and 6 are in color. All of them have never been exhibited previously, and they were shot in: Morocco, Cape Verde, Zanzibar and the Dominican Republic.. .fotografo@salvadorgomezsanchez.com .www.salvadorgomezsanchez.com .http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=oyW3iS-lPWg | ||
