The future of natural gas will be discussed in the Dominican Republic Experts from Trinidad andTobago and Canada will make presentations at the seminar “Present and Future of Natural Gas in the Dominican Republic.” Natural gas is a fuel that every day becomes more important in the Dominican market. The seminar is being organized in the Dominican Republic by the Round Table of the Commonwealth Countries under the sponsorship of the Dominican Association of the Electric Industry (ADIE – Asociación Dominicana de la Industria Eléctrica). Trinidad and Tobago is one of the leading producers of natural gas in the world and is the nearest source for the Dominican market. The use of natural gas has increasedinthe generation of power, industry and for vehicular use. Other sponsors of the seminar include the chambers of commerce of Britain, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago and India. The seminar will take place on Thursday, June 6, at the Hotel Santo Domingo. The purpose of the seminar is to bring together those who influence natural gas production both locally and internationally, and once gathered, to discuss ways of properly developing natural gas in the Dominican Republic, since natural gas is a fuel that requires significant financial resources for its development. Gas producers, marketers, technicians, and the general public will attend the event. Also have confirmed their presence at the seminar representatives of the major financial institutions located in the countries of the Common wealth. |
