First Ever Legends of Basketball Tournament to be Held

The Dominican Athletics Organization, USA Inc. will hold its first Legends of Basketball tournament with the participation of teams from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Harlem Legends and Dominicanos USA. The latter team is made up of Dominican residents in the United States, some of whom are organizing this friendly tournament.

This sporting event will take place in Riverbank Park, at 679 Riverside Dr. between 137th and 143rd Streets, NY, NY 10031 on August 15-16 between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

The leadership of the Dominican Athletics made a huge effort to make this tournament a success. A large number of basketball players have confirmed their attendance, a large number of whom are well-known and will be recognized by many of the audience.

For the Dominican Republic, the following players will participate: Evaristo Pérez, Junior Gil, Jay Payano, Víctor Hansen, Tepo, Tapia, Aldo Lechons, Iván Mieses, Victor Chacón, RafelAriza, Jhonny Duluc, Sergio Taveras, Diómedes Girón, Cuchy Langa, Ney González, José Corporán, Jochy Gil, Manolo Prince and Fernando Teruel.

The Dominican Legends USA will be represented by Hugo Cabrera, Winston Royal, Lolo Regus, Chú Mercedes, Tony Marte, Howard Fenton, José Molina, Mauricio Espinal, Ricardo Ramón, Bombo McKelly, Miguel Cruceta, Hugo Díaz, Julio Veloz, Tony Fraden, Kenny Jones, HéctorReynoso, Rudy Pérez, Kasimiro Mercedes, Luís Frias, Luís Cruz, Eduardo Gómez, Tito Horford, Edgar De la Rosa, Moisés Waldrón and their manager, Ramón de la Cruz.

Puerto Rican legends are Wesley Correa, Tree Obet Vasquez, Andre Corky Ortiz, Al Morales, Daryll Chamberlain, Tony Diaz, Will Cadiz, Chicy Arroyo, Anthony Gaines, Derrick Lawson, Fernando Torres, Nestor Cora, Manny Fiqueroa, Jeffery Carrion, Georgie Torres,  RayDalmu  and their manager, Santos Negrón.

The Harlem group will consist of Mike Glenn, Jennifer Brewer, Tyron Gainer, Mel Harris, LT Trahon, Isaac Cook, Kenny Saunders, Andre Turner, Curtis Green, Willie Harris, Redonno Douglas, McKinley Singleton, Brandon McDonald, Woody Carter, Somer Easterwood, Sherwin Durham, Jimmy Bolden Referee, Tommy Gibson Referee, Adrien Borders, Brandon Thomas, Wayne Arnold, Kevin Sowell, Antron Pippin and their coach, Marvin McCullough.
