GFDD to Participate in VIII Caribbean Biodiversity Congress GFDD and FUNGLODE will participate in the VIII Caribbean Biodiversity Congress (CBDC), which will take place from January 29 to February 2 at the Hotel Magna in Santo Domingo. The Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, along with other organizations, has organized this event every three years since 2002. The CBDC enthusiastically welcomes hundreds of experts and scientists who are focused on the study and protection of biodiversity in the Caribbean region.

In addition to attending various activities, Cristiana Cruz Minier, Coordinator of GFDD’s EcoHuertos Program, will be participating in a symposium entitled Flora de la Española, wherein she will present the preliminary results of her thesis: “Conucos y Huertos Familiares en Barreras, Azua: Entornos de vida para la subsistencia y el estudio etnobotánico.” The presentation will take place on February 1st at 2:20 pm in Salon C of Hotel Magna. |
