Exhibit by Visual artist Violeta Ramón at Museo de las Casas Reales Visual artist Violeta Ramón will open a solo exhibit entitled “Vuelo de Colores” at the gallery of the Museo de las Casas Reales, on Thursday, May 15th, at 7:00 pm With this individual exhibit the artist seeks to convey a communicational force charged with poetry. Her works are in oil and acrylic on the canvas, in a style where versatility and content (Butterflies) are the central theme. In the beginning, Violeta Ramón’s pieces included a nature theme but they have evolved. She has found her own expression, but this does not preclude her, within her creative scope and with the help of colors, from dabbling in the abstract figurative style, as she has done in this exhibit. The artist proves to be a passionate Caribbean woman, with a broad concept that helps her harmonize her views of living nature, which she breaks down with energy and imaginary resources. Violeta was born in Cabrera, in the Province of María Trinidad Sánchez. She graduated with a degree in Architecture from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, a profession in which she works in parallel to the plastic arts. She loves literature and wrote her first narrative work “Bertilia, trayectoria de amor”, which was published in 2013. She is an artist who belongs to a new generation, whose work is defined by a richly illuminated palette full of colors. |
