Renowned Dominican Painter and Sculptor Oscar Abreu announced his most recent artistic endeavor that will be exhibited during the first edition of the Cultural Souls Arts Fair, which is both an ambitious and entrepreneurial project.

The artist states that: “my art is a historical reference of memories and experiences through which I attempt to awaken a state of conscious human and social critique in the spectator.”

The Cultural Souls Arts Fair will take place in the Sherbondy Village Art & Cultural Center located in 215 N. Perviz Avenue, OpaLocka City, FL 33054. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, August 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event will be open to public on Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th starting from 10:00 a.m.

In booth B134, Oscar Abreu will be presenting his exhibition titled: “La Forma del Pensamiento” that is comprised of a restrained collection of paintings and sculptures in which the artist reveals his bond with the most latent displays of humanism during our time, depicted in a strong and dramatic speech that is supported by the structure and reminiscences of abstract expressionism.

The artist states that: “my art is a historical reference of memories and experiences through which I attempt to awaken a state of conscious human and social critique in the spectator.”

According to art critic Marianne de Tolentino: “Oscar Abreu continues to be inspired by fine arts, and the abstract element has been strengthenedin his exhibit. It may be the lines, the rhythms, the spatial directions that now determine the association with scores, staves and notes.”

Specialists have described Abreu’s collection, which is currently being exhibited in Miami, as emblematic seals that reveal the distressing scriptures of individual and collective souls in these turbulent times controlled by the agitation of the globalization era.
