The Guloya Theater continues with the V Pocket Theater Festival 2014. During the second week of the Festival, actress Niurka Mota, will perform at the Otto Coro stage with the show “Nosotras Lo Hacemos Mejor (We Can Do it Better),” starting this coming Thursday, September the 11th, until Sunday, September the 14th.

This humorous monologue, by the Porto Rican writer Roberto Ramos Perea, provides the answer to many questions through Teresa Allyson Pérez, a professional psychologist that offers a workshop designed for professional growth for the employees of a company that has hired her for that purpose. In a nonconventional and light-hearted manner, she uses her own experiences to engage the audience to enter the reality of women by showcasing everything that is hidden behind the traditional models of femininity and masculinity.

Actress Niurka Mota celebrated her thirty-four years of professional work with the show “Nosotras lo Hacemos Mejor”, as a special dedication in memory of her great friend and mentor, Danilo Taveras. Renowned Actress and Director Elvira Taveras, directed this performance that was produced by Niurka.

This week, the V Pocket Festival will organize a gathering between the artists, specialized critics and the public to reflect on the impact of the theatrical performance called The Pocket Lining. This week’s meeting, which will take place this Saturday, September 13th at 11:00 a.m., is part of the gathering “Nosotras lo Hacemos Mejor” with Doctor of Arts Olga Espinal as the invited expert. Admission is free and open to all who are interested in knowing how the show was build.

Functions will run from Thursday, September 11th to Saturday, September 23rd at 8:30 p.m., and Sunday, September 14th at 6:30 p.m. The Thursday performance is specially priced at $100.00 for students.
