“Ossaye Casa de Arte” a New Cultural Proposal With the introduction of the “Carpeta de Arte, Roberto Ossaye” (Art Binder, Roberto Ossaye), which is a portfolio that contains three limited edition reproductions by the prominent Guatemalan artist, on Thursday, May 14, at 7:00 pm, the Umbrales del Arte art gallery will kick off a new cultural chapter with a new name and in a new space, the “Ossaye Casa de Arte”, located in the José Joaquín Pérez Street No. 1, Ensanche Gascue, in Santo Domingo. Its director, María del Carmen Ossaye, explained that with a portion of the proceeds from the “Carpeta de Arte, Roberto Ossaye” project, a charitable contribution will be made to the Santa Rosa Institute to Help the Deaf in Santo Domingo with the objective of financing the educational program of artistic painting and graphic design workshops, aimed at students who will be selected because of their talents. She informed that the Umbrales del Arte art gallery is reinventing its name and space with the “Ossaye Casa de Arte”, a tribute to her father, plastic artist Roberto Ossaye, to continue his efforts to maintain the line of creative thinking with the prestige that has characterized him throughout his long career in the arts and publishing projects, such as the Art Magazine. “In this way, we continue supporting the country’s arts, culture and education with programs and events that support society, and in which local and international artists focused on creating participate, because our project involves businesses and organizations that wish to identify themselves with the world of the arts through their collections and particular proposals,” said Ossaye.
