The Comptroller General Reforests Community of Juan Adrián The Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR for its acronym in Spanish) held a reforestation event in the community of Juan Adrián, province of Monseñor Nouel, during which 1,325 pine trees of the Caribea Pine species were planted, thus contributing to the goal of achieving greater forest cover and to the preservation of the environment. The planting event is part of the activities that are taking place during the month of reforestation. The trees were planted in a land area of approximately 20 hectares, at the rate of 70 trees per hectare, and at a distance of three meters. This activity takes place at a time when the country has been hit by one of the worst droughts of recent years. The planting of trees seeks to reverse this situation in the future. The Comptroller General of the Republic reaffirmed its interest in and commitment with the environment, aware that, without the collaboration of all, future generations will not have a country with clean air to breathe and who would live without any environmental problems. Instructions for the proper planting process were provided before the event. Planting took place with the “rooted plant” technique for the bulb to retain its nutrients. For years, the CGR has been implementing a policy of support for the preservation of the environment, thus contributing to the life and forestry of the national territory. Photos |
