ASHONORTE Presents Discover Puerto Plata Tourism Guide 2019-2020

Santo Domingo, September 19, 2019 – An updated “Discover Puerto Plata Tourism Guide 2019-2020” was recently launched during the “Discover Marketplace 2019” annual fair, an event that brings together representatives from the country and the region’s tourism industry.

The guide includes information and photographs of Puerto Plata’s – situated in the Dominican Republic’s north coast – most important attractions. There are also articles on the city’s important culinary traditions, its history, religion and history. In this latest edition, there is also an annex on Health Tourism. The goal is to provide visitors to the north coast’s most important city with updated information that will let them thoroughly enjoy their holiday in the city.

The Discover Guide also includes General Information on Puerto Plata; Ocean and Land Adventure Tours and an updated map of the region. Also, key information on Puerto Plata’s unique gastronomy, nightlife, shopping, important telephone numbers to keep handy, as well as many other key details.

The manual is sponsored by the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism Companies of the North Coast (ASHONORTE), and the Ministry of Tourism. It is edited by the TARGET Consulting Company. It is a 48-page color guide, and is published in Spanish and English.

“This tourism guide is a promotional tool to highlight the most representative destinations found in this region. It is made to present all the important attractions that make this area so special. It invites everyone, not only the international visitor, to become familiar with the beauty of Puerto Plata. Our goal is to provide updated information on the excellent adventure tourism options, on the first settlement built in the New World, the region’s gastronomy and exuberant natural beauty,” explained José Natalio Redondo, Ashonorte president.

The guide will be available in all local hotels, in national and international fairs where the Ministry of Tourism participates, and in the Tourism Promotion Offices of the Dominican Republic, found in many international cities.
