New York, May 3, 2018 – The Dominican Ministry of Culture’s Commission in the United States, through its Music Department, cordially invites all those interested in participating in monthly musical discussion groups that has been created to honor Rafael Solano, renowned Dominican musician and composer.
Pianist and composer Miguel Andrés Tejada, head of the Commission’s Music Department, explained that the monthly discussion groups shall be a space where the public will be able to enjoy concerts, documentaries and panel discussions on this particular topic.
“At the same time, we will present important representatives of the Dominican musical world. Also, the monthly group discussions will be open to the entire family.”
The musical event is scheduled to begin this coming Monday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m., at Commission headquarters, situated at 541 West 145th Street (corner of Broadway) en Manhattan.
In this first event, organizers will distribute Certificates of Participation to all those who participated in the recent Musical Appreciation Workshop “The Universe of Music,” sponsored by the Commission.
Cultural Commissioner Carlos Sánchez invited everyone to participate in the monthly musical events, where they can learn all about Dominican and international music.
