External Sector

The Dominican Republic has experienced over the last few years a marked economic opening and an improved placement in an increasingly global world. This is proven by, among other things, the signing of various commercial treaties at both a regional and international level, as well as through the dynamic participation of exports and imports in the national economy.

In this section we present the external industries of the Dominican economy, from the balance of payments to the remittances received by the county, stemming from Dominican citizens and those Dominican residing abroad, and including the external public debt.
