Santo Domingo, January 17, 2019 – Eddy Jiménez, who in 2016 presented his first film “El camino correcto” (unofficial translation: “The Right Path”), is currently working on the final touches to his next film “CARA A CARA” (“Face to Face”), an action film for the entire family and filmed in its entirety in the Dominican Republic.
Currently, Jiménez is in the post-production phase of the new film which is scheduled to be released on January 31. The movie will also feature distinguished Dominican musicians, actors, and television personalities.
Jiménez is not only a promising producer, but is also a well-known commercial model. As an actor, he has performed in “off Broadway” productions. He has also participated in “Mephistopheles” and “I Love Lucy”, programs that added additional perspective to his career as an actor.
In the United States, Jiménez studied at the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SOCAPA) and New York University, as well as in the Creative School of Scenic Arts and worked with the prestigious Hispanic theatre group “Teatro Rodante Puertorriqueño” and “Urbano Arte.”
Jiménez, 23, has produced and participated in various films. The goal of his production company, CAMINO FILMS, is to support up-and-coming actors and producers and to export Dominican films to the international community.
Eddy is by far the boldest member of the Dominican film industry. He loves to make his dreams come true, without necessarily having a budget to carry out his projects. He just finished directing the new musical video produced by Dominican singer Jeffrey “Amor Amor.”
Mayor Darío Rodríguez, from Monseñor Nouel Province – Jiménez’ hometown – awarded the young filmmaker the highest honor given by the Mayor’s Office for his work in the film industry.
In New York, he was also honored by the Telemundo television network as the most distinguished and most active producer during 2018.
