Santo Domingo, July 13, 2018 – The Ministry of Culture’s “Cámara Koribe” presented impressive recitals titled “Koribe Colonial 2018,” in some of Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone’s most important museums, parks and plazas.
Dozens of visitors attended the historic zone to enjoy the concerts, directed by musical director Nadia Nicola.
Choir members, all dressed in white literally shined in the various historic venues where they presented their repertoire. The museums, plazas and parks came to life through their interpretation of popular Dominican and international songs.
The “Koribe Colonial 2018” concert route began in the “Plaza de los Dominicos” (Plaza of the Dominican Religious Order). The choir then moved on to the Museum of the Dominican Family, where dozens of students, tourists and Dominicans also enjoyed the performance.
The concert route ended at the “Alcázar de Colón” (Columbus’ Palace), situated in the very heart of the Colonial Zone, where Dominicans and international tourists applauded the choir’s performance from beginning to end.
