“Taste” Festival
The annual Festival began in 2009 with the first “Taste Santo Domingo” event. The event was founded by Raymundo Morales, executive director of CREATO, a company specializing in gastronomic marketing and tourism.
A decade later the Festival has become the main gastronomic event in the country, covering such important aspects as the promotion of the country’s gastronomic industry, communications, and the organization of gastronomic events.
The Fair has become the country’s most important event for professionals, companies and institutions from the food and beverage industries. It is also a celebration of Dominican and Caribbean gastronomy.
During the past decade some 10,000 visitors have participated in the annual fair, including top chefs, students, sponsors, exhibitors and the general public.
