Dominican softball in the Netherlands

Softball, just like baseball is probably the most popular sport in the Dominican Republic. This fact has crossed all frontiers and has gone all the way to Europe where hundreds of fellow Dominicans gather around sports. We take this opportunity to recognize one of the most dynamic and involved associations in the city of Rotterdam which traditionally brings together hundreds of Dominican athletes allowing the complete integration of Dominican immigrants to the Dutch society. This association is the Catarey Dominican Softball League. The Dominican Republic’s General Consulate in Amsterdam provided the League’s team uniforms to start the summer 2006 season.
