Nineteen Photojournalist Reports in 2nd Annual Press Photo Exhibit

The Photojournalist Group of the Communication Studies Center of de FUNGLODE (CEC-FUNGLODE) opened on Monday as the 2nd Press Photo Exhibit and Projection. After the success of the first exhibit, which took place last year as part of the Photography Month, 18 photo journalists who work in the Dominican Republic and others who are linked to the country but who work outside have organized an exhibition comprised of 19 photo reports with 717 photographs mounted in a digital display and accompanied by music.

Participation

Participating in the exhibition are, among others, three of the world’s top photographers and winners of one of the highest photographic honors in the world, the World Press Photo Award. Those three photographers are: Walter Astrad and Carlos Barría, both from Argentina and Emilio Morenatti from Spain.

In addition to various images captured in the Dominican Republic, visitors of the show will also see photographic work done from Iraq, Colombia, Afghanistan, Palestine, Haiti, Spain and Kenya.
