Head of State accepts credentials from New Ambassadors from France, Uruguay, Benin and Denmark On Wednesday Dominican President Leonel Fernández received the official credential from new Ambassadors representing four countries: France, Uruguay, Benin and Denmark. Present at the ceremony held in the Ambassadors Hall of the National Palace was Dominican Vice President Rafael Alburquerque and Minister of Foreign Relations Carlos Morales Troncoso. The new Ambassador from France is Mr. Roland Dubertrand who has held important posts in several countries. Mr. Dubertrand holds a Masters Degree in Public Law from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux. He later attended the National School for Public Administration in France. The representative from the Republic of Uruguay is Luis Carresse who has a long and impressive diplomatic career, having held important posts all over the world. Gregoire Laitan Houde will serve as the new Special Ambassador from the Republic of Benin. Mr. Houde also received a solemn audience with Dominican President Leonel Fernández. The new Danish Ambassador to the DR, Johannes Dahi-Hansen began his diplomatic career in 1972 when he was designated by Denmark´s Ministry of Diplomatic Relations. He later served as Ambassador in Sarajevo from 2001 to 2006. Present at the ceremony held in the Ambassadors Hall of the National Palace was Dominican Vice President Rafael Alburquerque and Minister of Foreign Relations Carlos Morales Troncoso.
