UNPHU and Alcalá de Henares University Sign Agreement

The Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University and the University of Alcalá de Henares in Spain recently signed an agreement to begin educational exchange programs for students as well as professors from the Department of Health Science, specifically the School of Medicine.

This agreement gives medical students from UNPHU an opportunity to study and take special courses in Spain. Students from Alcalá de Henares University can do the same in the Dominican Republic.

The agreement was signed in the Rector´s office at the University of Alcalá de Henares by UNPHU Rector, Miguel Fiallo Calderón, and Alcalá Rector Virgilio Zapatero.

This agreement gives medical students from UNPHU an opportunity to study and take special courses in Spain. Students from Alcalá de Henares University can do the same in the Dominican Republic. Professors from both universities will also be able to take their sabbatical or to jointly develop academic programs in the same way.

This agreement forms part of the internationalization of the UNPHU under the leadership of Rector Miguel Fiallo Calderón. It gives students and professors the facility to embark on educational and research visits to university centers outside the country. Agreements with other universities, such as the University of Oviedo, were also signed on this occasion.
