Throughout the 29th edition of FITUR, the Dominican Republic will show off its most attractive destinations, said the Tourism Minister, adding that some 30 hotel chains, tour operators and travel agents will be showing their merchandise at the Dominican stand. Those present this year include Dominicana Tourism (Domitur), Hotel Eden NH Real Arena, Casa de Campo, Ahmsa Marina, Oasis, IFA Villas Bávaro Renaissance Jaragua, Turmaya, Go Caribic, Tropical Clubs, Hotel Intercontinental V Centenario, Coral Hospitality Corp. and Hola Tours & Travel, among others. To have a first hand look at the work done in the Dominican tourism sector, headed by SECTUR, the directors of several media organizations and specialized journalists will also be on the trip to Madrid. The press delegation includes reporters from Listín Diario, Hoy, El Caribe, El Gobierno de la Mañana, CTN and Sabrina from Weekend Semana. The President of the Dominican Tourism Association (ADOMPRETUR) will also be present. This year’s FITUR event will bring together more than 13,000 exhibitors from all over the world, more than 98,000 tourism professionals and over 8,000 reporters who have signed up to cover the events taking place in this important tourism promotion festival. Every year tour operators, travel agencies, transport companies, hoteliers, infrastructure experts, official organizations, press agencies from around the world, professional and business organizations and countless companies dedicated to leisure and culture, services, residential, incentive and meetings-oriented tourism, among other visitors, gather at this annual event in Madrid. To promote its diverse offerings and to attract investment to the DR, the Dominicans will have a colorful, 217-square-meter stand located in the Juan Carlos I Center.
