Dominican Civil Aviation Institute and UNDP Sign Cooperation Agreement Until 2010 The Director General of the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC in Spanish) José Tomas Pérez and Valerie Julliard, resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed a cooperation agreement to work together for the institutional, operational and technical modernization of this state organism. The accord, in effect until February 2010 with a $2.34 million dollar budget, also includes the promotion of safe, efficient and transparent management skills The accord, in effect until February 2010 with a $2.34 million dollar budget, also includes the promotion of safe, efficient and transparent management skills as well as plans to carry out programs and processes for the equipping and modernization of the Institute’s technological infrastructure. “We appreciate the action of the United Nations Development Program’s collaboration with IDAC in the modernization process of our total system, in the area of infrastructure as well as technology, training and education,” said Mr. Pérez. Meanwhile, Valerie Julliard, guaranteed that the UNDP is prepared to efficiently conclude each one of the various aspects that are being undertaken as part of the agreement until its expiration in 2010. “Today we are confirming the activities to be carried out in support of the strengthening process of the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute through the signing of this project document that will put into effect the collaboration accords between IDAC and the UNDP,” added the UNDP representative.
