The Office of Tourism Promotion (OPT) in Brazil promoted the Dominican Republic as a tourism destination at the 31st edition of the Braztoa Commercial Fair in Sao Paulo, Brazil which is considered one of the most important tourism fairs in the country and which brings together more than 3,200 professionals from the tourism sector.


“We had a number of important travel agents from the State of Sao Paulo who took information about our country in addition to informative material that can be used for future travellers,”


The Dominican Republic had a stand at the fair where it distributed promotional material to travel agents. The Dominican stand, one of 140 at the fair, attracted a large concentration of Brazilian tourism professionals.


Nodalia Arias, member of OPT office in Brazil , said participation in Braztao was very advantageous and yielded positive results for tourism promotion to the DR.


“We had a number of important travel agents from the State of Sao Paulo who took information about our country in addition to informative material that can be used for future travellers,” said Ms. Arias.


The participation of the Dominican Republic , through the OPT, in the main tourism fairs around Brazil , is part of a promotion strategy with the goal of consolidating the DR as an excellent destination for trips and vacations for Brazilians.
