Internal Tax Office Wins Prize at Book Fair 2009

The Ministry of Culture and General Manager of the International Book Fair gave the General Office of Internal Taxes (DGII) a plaque in recognition for “the design of its stand and its interesting educational program.”

…the DGII developed an attractive Tax Education proposal through the presentation of puppet shows, musicals, contests and educational seminars.

The honor was received by Luz Castro, head of the Tax Office’s informal education department, at the Book Fair’s closing act held at the Eduardo Brito National Theater in the presence of Culture Minister José Rafael Lantigua.

The Tax Office’s participation in the 2009 edition of the Book Fair was a huge hit as witnessed by some 12,787 visitors who formed part of the attractive educational proposal for this year, the concept of which was “Let’s all contribute to build a better country.”

Throughout the 12th edition of this important cultural fair, the DGII developed an attractive Tax Education proposal through the presentation of puppet shows, musicals, contests and educational seminars.

In addition, a well-trained team offered personalized assistance on the main tax issues and gave talks on the Simplified Tax Procedure (PSD).
