Institutional Cooperation Agreement Signed In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month and Institutional Cooperation, the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI) and the Dominican Republic Plan signed an agreement in which they will share in the implementation and development of the “Learn without Fear” campaign beginning in the southwest region of the country and in the nation’s capital. This alliance is the expression of desire on the part of both institutions to endorse protection mechanisms for children and adolescents while promoting and facilitating the training of educators as well as students. CONANI was represented by Kirsys Fernández, Executive President and Secretary of State. Fritz Foster represented the Dominican Republic Plan of which he is the director. This alliance is the expression of desire on the part of both institutions to endorse protection mechanisms for children and adolescents while promoting and facilitating the training of educators as well as students. The alliance also calls for improving the application and enforcement of Articles 45 through 50 of Law 136-03 of the Penal Code for the System of Protection of Fundamental Human Rights of Boys, Girls and all Adolescents. The Dominican Republic Plan and CONANI have agreed to promote the implementation of the LEARN WITHOUT FEAR campaign in the southeastern area of the country with the goal of preventing physical and psychological abuse in this region.
