Cultural Festival of Huelva Will Be Dedicated to the Dominican Republic

Ministry of Culture will prepare a program for this important Spanish festival that includes a book fair, theater, concerts and artistic events.

The Latin American Cultural Fall Festival, celebrated in Huelva, Spain, will be dedicated this year to the Dominican Republic.

The Latin American Cultural Fall Festival, celebrated in Huelva, Spain, will be dedicated this year to the Dominican Republic.

Created as an initiative of the Spain’s Rural Cultural Foundation of the South, the festival will be held during the months of October and November. There will be a large and diverse cultural program that will include theater, dance, visual art shows, concerts and a Book Salon. The festival will last for four weeks.

The main object of the festival is to strengthen cultural interchange and links with the Latin American Community of Nations, the directors of which are important figures from the public and private sector in Huelva.

Along with the Dominican Republic, the festival this year is also dedicated to Cuba and Puerto Rico who have confirmed their participation with a full cultural program.

Working to coordinate the Dominican participation, leaders of the Huelva Festival Commission recently visited the country. The Commission was headed by its president Jaime de Vicente Núñez and María Dolores Bosque Alonso, who expressed their interest in the having the Dominican Republic participate in this important cultural festival with a large delegation

During their visit to the Dominican Republic, the Spanish officials visited museums and theaters and took part in the International Book Fair.
