President of Guyana Arrives on Tuesday to the Dominican Republic Bahrrat Jagdeo, President of Guyana and President Pro tempore of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM), will arrive in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday where he will hold meetings with his counterpart President Leonel Fernández and Dominican Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso. The Guyanese and Dominican Heads of State will discuss topics of interest to the Dominican Republic as well as to the other member countries of Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM). The Guyanese President will arrive at 2:15 in the afternoon at the Las Americas International Airport where he will be immediately transported to the National Palace for a working lunch with President Fernández. President Jagdeo is traveling with a delegation from his country made up of the Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Manniram Prashad; Colin Granderson, Assistant Secretary General, Foreign and Community Relations of CARICOM and David Hales, Director of CARICOM’s External Economic and Trade Relations. The Guyanese and Dominican Heads of State will discuss topics of interest to the Dominican Republic as well as to the other member countries of Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM).
