UNAPEC invites you to show your support and solidarity with our Haitian brothers and sisters in these moments of calamity. The earthquake of Tuesday January 12 caused immeasurable destruction throughout the whole country. It is estimated that up to 3 million people have been injured, made homeless or are still missing. Lend a helping hand. Please do or give whatever you can to help alleviate the effects of this catastrophe:
- Reach out to a Haitian friend or companion who needs moral support or someone to lean on. There are many Haitian students, professors and workers who would greatly appreciate your help.
- Join humanitarian groups or social networks to spread the word and help gather donations.
- Offer cash donations to relief organizations working in the disaster area. You can deposit money in APEC University’s bank account: Banco Leon – Account number:

- Make a donation of medicine or food through UNAPEC, which will be converted into a reception center for donations to be sent to earthquake victims. We are accepting the following donations:
FOOD:
- Canned beans
- Canned sausages
- Canned tuna
- Soda crackers
- Tetra pack milk
- Tetra pack juice
- Non-perishable food
- Bottled water
MEDICINE:
- Oral rehydration products
- Gauze
- Cotton balls
- Analgesics (Aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen)
- Elastic bands and bandages
- Tetanus treatment medication
- Human gamma globulins
- Antibiotics (amoxicillin, suspended and/ or in capsules)
- Antiseptics (PVP/1 or Chlorhexidine soap)
