Ricky Martin explained that he is forging an alliance with Habitat for Humanity to draft a long-term housing plan to build homes… “I am very thankful to the President as the Dominican government focused on the logistics of my trip to Haiti. Without this favor granted by the President, we would not be entering Haiti today but would have had to wait another ten days. I am very grateful,” said Martin. Ricky Martin explained that he is forging an alliance with Habitat for Humanity to draft a long-term housing plan to build homes in Haiti. He said building homes in the neighboring country as soon as possible is very important, according to the President’s Office of Information, Press and Publicity. “The Ricky Martin Foundation will focus on children. I can’t stand the thought of a child living in the street. Because they have nothing and because they’ve lost everything and because a home is a symbol of stability,” said the Puerto Rican singer who added that Haiti is lacking in food, water and medicine and called on all nations to help this country. Martin gave the link to his organization where users can obtain more information on what his foundation does and how they can help the Haitian people. The website can be reached at: habitat.org/rmf/Haití.
