Fernández Proposes Formation of a Network to Jordanian King to Strengthen Peace in the Middle East

The President of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández, offered the King of Jordan his collaboration to strengthen the Middle East peace process through the formation of a Latin American network to support the process.

At a bilateral meeting with Jordan´s King Abdullah, President Fernández explained that his government had been following the Middle East peace process and wishes to extend his contribution to strengthening the process with the creation of a Latin American network, according to the President´s Office of Information, Press and Publicity.

King Abdullah expressed his satisfaction with the Dominican President´s concern with the situation. He said he was received with overwhelming enthusiasm for his nation and has intensified links between the two nations.

His Majesty Abdullah said he will encourage Jordanian investors to visit the Dominican Republic to promote investment and increase the market balance between Jordan and the DR.

As such, Fernández said he will endorse cultural exchange in terms of education and in the area of business.

Other Heads of State at the meeting included the Dominican Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso; Judicial Consultant of the Executive Office, Abel Rodríguez Del Orbe; the Chief of the Jordanian Royal Court, Nasser Lozi; Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and the UN Ambassador to the United Nations from Jordan, Prince Bin Raad.
