Dominican President Leonel Fernández received former US Vice President Al Gore, currently president of the Thinking Green Foundation.

In a 40-minute meeting, Fernández and Gore discussed climate change and its effect on the global economy.

President Fernández and Mr. Gore also talked about international politics and its future perspectives, according to a press release from the Presidential Office of Information, Press and Publicity.

Also present at the meeting were Luis Manuel Bonetti, Administrative Secretary of the Presidency; Rosa Bonetti de Santana, president of the Propagas Foundation and Omar Ramírez, presidential advisor on climate change, among others.
