Four New Ambassadors Present their Credentials in the National Palace In a solemn ceremony held at the National Palace, four new ambassadors presented their credentials as representatives from the respective countries to the Dominican Republic. Raúl Humberto Yzaguirre, of the United States; José Rafael Torres Castro, from Costa Rica; Moshe Semoneta, from Israel and Thomas Schuller Gotzburg from Austria presented their credentials to President Leonel Fernández. The ceremony was held in the Ambassadors Hall of the National Palace. Also present was Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso, according to the Presidential Office of Information, Press and Publicity. The first diplomat to be received by President Fernández was Israeli Ambassador, Moshe Semoneta, who has held various diplomatic posts for his country. The third diplomat to present his official documents was US Ambassador Raúl Humberto Yzaguirre whose former job was Presidential Professor and Executive Director of the Center for Community Development and Civil Rights at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. Thomas Schuller Gotzburg, from Austria, was the last to present his credential to the President. Prior to this posting, he held other diplomatic positions in different counties. | ||
