Ministry of Culture Inaugurates Pedro José Gris Exhibition “Windows: A View of Pleasure” The Ministry of Culture (MINC in Spanish) recently inaugurated Pedro José Gris’ one-man show, “Windows: A View of Pleasure” being held in the Ramón Oviedo Art Hall. “The quasi-direction of chance, that is to say, the interaction with conscious material helps me define arbitrary textures and forms that mysteriously form part of this thought sensation that obsessively adds to the wholeness of the image,” Twenty five paintings on are display in this exhibition in which Gris, painter and writer from Santiago, has adopted a synthesis of significant and created elements starting with recycling and impressions of an image which he later paints then adheres to the work of art. The exhibition, “Windows: A View of Pleasure” will be on display until April 25 in the Ramón Oviedo Art Hall located the Ministry of Culture on George Washington Avenue, corner with Presidente Vicini Burgos, in front of the Macho Obelisk. The exhibition can be seen Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Ministry. Poet and painter, Pedro José Gris.
