Designer Miguel Genao to Unveil Inopia Collection Young Dominican designer, Miguel Genao, will present his pre-fall 2011 collection under the name “Inopia,” as part of the celebration of Caribbean Fashion Week 2011. He will unveil his new fashions on June 4 in Sansouci. Miguel works a great deal in white, an immaculate and pure palette, to achieve the look of flat, feminine lines with a touch of “haute couture.” Inopia is a state of mind, a state in which women who wear Miguel Genao´s designs go with the flow and enjoy the way they look and feel in their modern styles, sumptuous and unique fabric. Inopia is a trip through the foam of the ocean, the sculptures of the sand and the organic forms of the fish. His designs rely on the use of silk, chiffon, lace, cotton, charmuese, linen and delicate handmade work with sequins and tiny rhinestones.Miguel works a great deal in white, an immaculate and pure palette, to achieve the look of flat, feminine lines with a touch of “haute couture.” Miguel Genao has so far launched the following collections: Le Cirque, Lollipop, Imperial, Magia Negra, Walking on a Dream and Calipso. Genao´s Inopia collection reflects the maturity and ingenuity of his designs while always maintaining his originality, creativity and good taste that characterizes his entire body of work.
