Save the Children and Heart Care Dominicana Agree to Work Together on Projects for Children with Limited Resources Save the Children Dominican Republic and Heart Care Dominicana signed an agreement to identify opportunities to gather funds and to implement activities leading to the development of projects that will improve the lives of children and their families. Both organizations will develop joint work plans to guarantee a better future for children, adolescents and the poor communities around the country. The institutional collaboration agreement was signed by Fernando Rainieri, president of the Council of Directors of Save the Children DR and Doctor Pedro Ureña, president of the Council of Directors of Heart Care Dominicana. The document was signed at a ceremony in the Patronato de Cedimat Hall. Save the Children Dominican Republic is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is the implementation of socially responsible programs directed at community development, with the help of individuals and institutions, national and international, while following the principles and norms established in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is oriented toward promoting social action and developing opportunities that will benefit children and their families, while remaining consistent with the focus of children’s rights. Heart Care Dominicana is a non-profit foundation that was born out of the need to help child who need cardiovascular surgery. The mission of Heart Care Dominicana is to contribute to the care of low income patients who suffer from congenital and/or acquired heart disease thus improving their quality of life and that of their families. | ||
