The agreement governing organizational development and strengthening of human capital seeks to support MINERD’s project Manual of Placements, Profiles and Evaluation Model according to Competences, which is in keeping with requirements laid out by the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP).

The budgetary support agreement is based on the identification of priority investment opportunities to guarantee the improved continuity of MINERD as an organization. This includes everything from its systems, processes and administrative tools to the support needed to enhance its management and teaching capacities in the schools.

At the signing ceremony, Minister Pimentel expressed an interest in MINERD being in line with all of the requirements established in Public Service Law 41-08, which responds to modern procedure and values human resources.

“I want to emphasize our interest in stimulating a close relationship with institutions and companies in our society in order to urge them to take on a higher level of social responsibility, to create synergy, sources for interchange, collaboration, technical assistance and the transfer of values to achieve efficacy in the administrative and management processes,” said Minister Pimentel.

INICIA Foundation president, Amelia Vicini Lluberes, expressed her appreciation to MINERD for allowing the foundation to contribute in the process of identifying projects that will help bring about the institutional strengthening of the Ministry and, at that same time, allow INICIA to develop its mission of supporting the Dominican education system.

Also present at the event, for MINERD, were Minerva Vicent, deputy minister for Teaching Affairs; Carmen Reyes, judicial consultant; Víctor Sánchez, Director of the Educational Planning Office and Magalys Casilla, Director for Human Resources. From the INICIA Foundation, Antonio Caparrós, Executive Director and Administrative Director, Laura Calventi.
