Luis Rafael Gonzalez wins screenplay competition “Les Films De L’Astre” Luis Rafael Gonzalez is the winner of the second edition of the scripts competition of the international film production company “Les Films de L’Astre”, which in 2011 was sponsored by the Embassy of France, in honor of the film critic Arturo Rodriguez. “We are very pleased with the reception given to the second edition of this competition showcasing formidable film work, which is proof of the local talent to create and assemble stories within the framework of film language,” said film director Sergio Gobbi, Chairman of “Les Films De L’Astre” At the event, which was attended by the Ambassador of France, Roland Dubertrand, Gonzalez was awarded first place for his script “Dioses sin Crepúsculos,” from among nearly 100 participating scripts. The finalists were Formerio Rodríguez (La Negrita y el Gringo), Alejandro Andujar (El Hombre que Cuida), Margarita Cota (El Rinoceronte Rosa), Raul Eduardo Yunen (Frequencia Modulada), Julio Cesar Joaquin Collado (Sicario Marica) and Julio Grisanty (Melodía de Salvación). “We are very pleased with the reception given to the second edition of this competition showcasing formidable film work, which is proof of the local talent to create and assemble stories within the framework of film language,” said film director Sergio Gobbi, Chairman of “Les Films De L’Astre” company. The jury was composed by Sergio Gobbi, Chairman and General Director of “Les Films de l’Astre”; Armando Almanzar, writer and film critic; Freddy Ginebra, Director of the Theater House Cultural Center; Leticia Tonos, film director; Gianfranco Fini, and Jean-Luc Puyau, Attaché for linguistic and university cooperation at the French Embassy.
