In the marathon, athletes will compete in several categories: Open Women, Superior Gentlemen (ages 15 to 39) and Masters (40 and above). Races can be entered by individuals or teams. Points earned from each of the Eco-Marathon races are accumulated to determine the winners.

The following races will be held on July 10th in Las Malvinas Ecological Park; July 17th in Central Park of Santiago de los Caballeros; July 24th in El Tamarindo de San Luis Park; July 31st in Mirador Park of the West in the Manoguayabo area; August 7th in Brisas del Yuna Park in Bonao and on August 14th in Manantiales del Cachón de la Rubia.

The scoring system will be based on individual point accumulation for each one of the team members, which also count toward each runner’s personal record and for the team they represent.
